About Us

Peggy Snyder, P.E.,  is the founder and principal of Emerald Environmental Solutions.  She began her involvement in land use and development issues in 1998 as a founding member of the Coalition to Save Hopewell Valley  From there, she went on to serve as vice-chair of the Hopewell Township Planning Board and chair of the Township’s Wastewater Advisory Committee.  Since 2000, Peggy has worked in the field of municipal engineering, stormwater management and wastewater treatment.

With the adoption of the 2004 New Jersey stormwater regulations, she began to focus almost exclusively on performing stormwater reviews of major developments throughout the state.  She has performed technical reviews of several hundred stormwater management systems to determine compliance with the NJ stormwater regulations. Peggy is a member of the NJDEP’s Stormwater BMP Technical Committee and has spoken throughout the state and on the internet about stormwater issues.

Peggy’s commitment to the environment, knowledge of development issues and strong technical expertise has served her clients well.  These clients include engineers, environmental organizations and grassroots groups.  She is a licensed professional engineer in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
